Howdy! I hope that everyone's week is flying by.. I know mine is. As you all may know, there is a movie out called Wimbledon. We thought it would be fun to go see it as a tennis league. The plan is to meet up at the movie theater on this Friday October 1st. We're planning on going to the 7:30 PM showing. Bring anyone you want: boyfriends, girlfriends, or friends! Get there early (7:00ish) so that we can all try and sit together. It's Ben Newberry's 22nd birthday this weekend, but there will be plenty of time to party after the movie is over... so please come and socialize with your tennis buddies!

Hope to see all of your there,
Amber :)

Howdy,
I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I know that this upcoming week is full of tests, so take a break from studying and come out tomorrow at 4 and hit with the League. I saw a couple people from league at the Challenger tournament today, and even though today's matches were just qualifying for the main event, there was amazing tennis on display. James Blake's brother and some A&M players played today, and tomorrow singles start at 10 am, with doubles starting around 1 pm. Hope to see you all at the courts at 4!

Thanks,
Ben

Hey guys!
Hope everyone had a good week. I thought I'd let you guys know that there's a professional ATP tennis tournament here in College Station for the whole next week! It starts today (Saturday) and features some players ranked in the 100s in the world! A few of Texas A&M's varsity players are playing, as well as former Ag all-stars Shuon Madden, Ryan Newport, and Tres Davis. The best part of all? Everything is COMPLETELY FREE from now until Friday, so there's no reason for you not to go out and watch some great tennis, see how the pros do it.

Matches begin at 10 AM and will go on most of the day. For directions, go HERE. For draws and a schedule head HERE and scroll down to the bottom; look under "Challenger of College Station." Oh, and on a side note, tennis league's own Odion Dibua and Matt Sumrall (that's me!) are the official racquet stringers of the tournament, so if you go, stop by the pro shop and say hi. Hope to see you all out there some time over the course of the week. It really is an amazing opportunity to see some great tennis. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Matt

Howdy!
If you weren't able to make it out Sunday, we started match play to determine rank to see who will get to travel. If you didn't play a match, but are interested, tell Matt first thing, and he will get you set up. If you didn't pay dues last time, we will still be accepting those, but not for much longer. So, I hope to see all of you out there at 8 tonight.

Howdy!
I hope you all were able to see the 27-6 routing of Clemson today.
On a tennis note, today (Sunday) is the last day to pay dues, so bring your cash or check. Also, matches will be starting to determine a preliminary ranking system for the traveling team, and if you haven't paid, you won't be allowed to play matches. So, see you all out there at 4!

Hey guys!

It's Wednesday, and everybody knows what that means right! Yep, tennis league tonight from 8-11 PM out at the intramural courts. Please bring your dues ($35/year or $25/semester, cash or check) tonight, Sunday is the last day. If you want to participate in the UT match and further tournaments where a ranking is necessary, please sign up through me out at the courts or via email. Rankings will start this Sunday, and you will be required to play quite a few matches over the next few weeks. Hope to see everyone out there.

How bout them aggies? Yeah, it was against Wyoming, but a win is a win. So, down to tennis business. Tomorrow (Sunday), we'll have our second practice from 4-7 PM at the intramural courts. The weather is supposed to be awesome! Think about a couple of things before you come:

1) Decide if you want to join tennis club. We'll start taking dues tomorrow, and the deadline is a week from tomorrow. Dues are $35 for the year and $25 for the semester.

2) Decide if you'd like to try out for the competitive traveling team. We will take names tomorrow and Wednesday, then we'll start the ranking process the following Sunday. More details to come, but if you really want to do this, you will have to come to just about every practice for the next few weeks to play matches. Also, you must have payed your dues to participate!

Here's some exciting news. We have scheduled a match with UT tentatively set for October 2nd. They'll be coming here this semester. The top 10 ranked guys and girls will participate. Also, we are looking at having the league's own tournament (everyone who wants to can participate) towards the middle of October. So, see everyone out there tomorrow!

Alright tennis guys and gals!

Hope everyone's semester is going well so far. It's that time of year again! Drop the books and clear your schedule for tomorrow night (Wednesday the 8th). Tennis League is back in action from 8-11 Wednesday night. We're playing at the intramural courts , located behind the varsity courts. We'll have the tennis balls and water, just make sure you have a racquet and you're set. Fees will be $35 for the year, but don't worry about it just yet, these first few practices are just to see if you like it or not (though we will be taking money if you know you want to join for sure). So don't be shy, come by and bring all your friends. Get ready to have a blast! New members and old, everybody get out to the courts tomorrow night! See you all there!

Hi guys!
This is a test post/email. Here's how things work. Every time new news is posted to the website, an email goes out to the entire tennis league email list. We'll send out an email tomorrow with all the stuff regarding Wednesday's first practice. For those that don't know the tennis league now has a website at http://tamu10s.blogspot.com and a new email address at tamu10s@gmail.com. Anyways, this is just supposed to be a test. If you're on this list and no longer wish to be, send a reply with "REMOVE" in the headline. Thanks!

Matt
