Hey Guys,
Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great. I just thought I'd let everyone know that there will not be tennis league Sunday. If it were up to me I'd be out there, but the Rec is going to keep the courts closed til Monday. So stay at home a little longer, enjoy those last couple hours of the break, and we'll see you out there on Wednesday!

Hey Tennis Leaguers,
Please read to the end of this email, as there is a lot of important information.

First, there will be mandatory challenge matches at tomorrow night's tennis league (wednesday night). If you don't show, you will drop to the bottom of the rankings list. We will play 2 best of 5 set matches each, so make sure you're well rested.

Ok, just kidding. Come on guys, there's gonna be like 2 people left in this entire town by tomorrow night. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and BEAT THE HELL OUTTA t.u.!!!!! Just to clarify, there is NO TENNIS LEAGUE Wednesday night. At this point, we will try to have league on the Sunday after turkey day, but check your email box before you go incase that changes. Enjoy the break!

Hey guys,
We will be having tennis as usual tomorrow (Wednesday) from 8 to 11. However, weather.com says we will be having severe thunderstorms tomorrow, so be on the look out for those. Also, the tennis match versus UT set for this weekend has been cancelled due to a shortage of players, so we will try to set up another match against them in the spring. Thanks, and stay dry,

Ben

Hey All!

I'm gonna flex my vice-presidential muscles today and send my very first email!

I hope everyone enjoyed that Fightin' Texas Aggie victory yesterday! Some tennis folks went down to Houston for the Masters Tourney yesterday, but we didn't miss a second of the game, thanks to the fabulous play-by-play provided by our own Kari Casares!

We have league as usual today from 4-7, and I hope to see everyone there! Have a great afternoon!

Hey guys,
As usual we have tennis league from 8 to 11 tomorrow, and the weather has been perfect lately so none of you have any excuse for not showing up. This weekend we had a blast at the Woodlands Open, with League players winning many of most of the events they were in. While the future of the tournament is in doubt, if they have it next I hope even more of you will go, since OU is away next year. If you haven't been out to League lately, we do have this year's t-shirts and we even have some from last year for sale for $5. Also, we have some tickets to the Masters Cup tournament in Houston this weekend for sale on a first come first serve basis, so if you are interested send us a reply. Thanks, and see you tomorrow,

Ben

Hey guys,

It's a good news-bad news kinda day. First, the good. We've brought 21 people to the Woodlands Open tournament this weekend and have had quite a bit of success, including a number of people competing in and winning the finals. Now, the bad news. Because of all this success, none of us are going to be able to get back in time to have league, so there will be NO OFFICIAL LEAGUE TODAY. The courts will be open, so you can feel free to bring some balls and hit, but that's about it. Sorry this is coming so late, and sorry if you get this after having already gone out there. Later,

Matt

Hey guys!
Alright big news today! First and foremost, as always, tennis league tonight at the intramural courts, 8-11.

More importantly, I have finally finished RANKINGS. Sorry for the delay. I am quite certain that some of you won't like where you are ranked at the moment. The rankings are based on a number of factors, but the one taken into account most is the win-loss record. I realize some of you have had harder matches than others and that's why you're farther down. But you know what, that's OK, cause you're gonna have a chance to get yourself back up. We're going to start a challenge system, effective immediately. All of the details on rankings and challenges are on our website. I really encourage you to read up on all the rules. The rankings are going to get to the point that it will require pretty active participation, so keep that in mind.

Finally, we've got the Woodlands tournament this weekend. We'll have excuse notes for tonight if you need one, but they're not "University Excused Absences." Come tonight if you need to talk about getting a ride with someone as well.

Anyways, see ya'll tonight, attaboy W!

Hey guys,
We got almost an hour and a half of tennis in yesterday before the rain, so thanks to all 12 of you who showed up. The Woodlands is coming up this weekend, and the draws have been posted online. You can see them here. Many of you have matches on friday, so that will mean either missing class, or defaulting your match. For those of you with 8 a.m. Friday matches, Tennis League is not paying for a hotel Thursday night. We do have rooms for Friday and Saturday, though, at the Drury Inn (28099 I-45 North, 281-362-7222.) If you don't have a ride, we will be arranging carpools this week, depending on match times, so we will be able to get you to your match. Thanks, have a good week, and see you Wednesday!

Ben
